Foraging Tour through a local green space and learn to identify local edible plants

We'll use all 5 senses to explore a local green space. We'll see wildlife, including deer, birds, and maybe we'll get lucky with a ground hog! We'll hear birds and bull frogs as we traverse a local green space. We'll learn to identify the nutritious autumn olive's flowers by their fragrant smell. We'll feel mullein's fuzzy leaves and discuss my favorite uses for this easily identified plant. We'll taste mugwort and discuss the ways we can incorporate this invasive plant into our daily regimen.


Sit-down crafting class to wrap smudges from locally foraged plants or craft medicinal plant tinctures

All materials provided informative workshop about plants that can be used for smudging and crafting.We'll explore various uses and history of the plants we work with and the ethic of sourcing locally.


Planting workshop with native, locally sourced seeds

All materials provided informative workshops that incorporate composting, pollinators, plants, and repurposing.


Sustainability workshop, presentation, or speaking engagement

My Master's and Bachelor's degrees are both in Sustainability areas. I've taught within a university for 2+ years, worked with public schools, and facilitated workshops for all ages. I'm happy to present to your class or participate in a speaking engagement around a variety of topics.
