This tea blend is inspired by the healing ayurvedic flavors of the beloved masala chai. However, this tea blend is caffeine free, and uses Spicebush—a wild plant native to the northeastern region of the United States—as its base in lieu of black tea.

Expect to feel warm and light from the inside out as you melt into a chai daydream when you drink this blend.

This tea blend is award-winning. It won best dish for its use of local ingredients at Historic Richmond Town's 13th annual Uncorked Festival in Staten Island, NYC.

Spicebush is an amazing native tree that grows edible bark, twigs, leaves, and berries. Once you meet spicebush, you'll never forget it, because all of its parts are incredibly aromatic and uniquely so. It's hard to describe its smell. Think about a cross between allspice and lemon balm, with a hint of cinnamon.

Spicebush has been used as a tonic for hundreds, if not thousands of years. Since it is a native plant to North America, it was long used by the Indigenous people that lived here. It was recognized as a cold & flu remedy, diaphoretic (sweat inducer), and cleanser. We infuse its leaves into this blend.

Cinnamon is a spice that is made from the inner bark of trees scientifically known as Cinnamomum. It has been used as an ingredient throughout history, dating back as far as Ancient Egypt. It's loaded with antioxidants, has anti-inflammatory properties, and has the potential to fight infections, lower blood sugar, and so much more.

Ginger is a root that is used as a popular remedy for nausea, stomach pain, and more. It has a spicy flavor and it has been used in Chinese and Indian medicine for thousands of years.

Clove is the flower bud of a tree native to Indonesia. It has a strong aroma and taste, and its common to find this spice infused into herbal toothpastes, as its believed to prevent bacterial infections.

Cardamom is a warming pod that tastes like a cross between eucalyptus, mint, and pepper. It's sweet and its commonly used in Middle Eastern cuisine.

Rainbow Peppercorns are black, white, green, and pink peppercorns that add spice, color, and flavor to this tea. Yes, this is the stuff that is on every table across America!

Nutmeg Nutmeg is a nut that warms the body and adds flavor to this blend. This spice is packed with flavor, so we add very little, because a little goes a long way. This spice is often used in our favorite holiday desserts like pumpkin pie.

The wild-foraged plants in this blend were wild-foraged responsibly in clean & local forests (New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania).

All of these plants' health benefits are well documented in many herbal books, both old and new, and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Furthermore, these statements have not been evaluated by the food and drug administration. when in doubt consult your healthcare provider or a clinically trained herbalist.
