This herbal tincture is crafted with a beloved medicinal plant: the Mimosa tree’s flower and bark (Albizia julibrissin). Not to be confused with the Mimosa plant often called the “sensitive plant” whose leaves famously fold to the stem when touched.

Mimosa is loved amongst herbalists across the world for its subtle mood-enhancing properties. Mimosa flowers are distinguished by their fairytale appearance and their glorious aroma. In herbalism, it’s common to use these flowers to craft a remedy that uplifts the spirit and enhances emotional well-being.

We harvest Mimosa’s delicate flowers during the height of their season in pristine wild spaces to craft an herbal remedy that is clean, effective, and pure.

In herbalism, it’s common to use various parts of a plant for varying purposes. While Mimosa flowers have an uplifting effect on our mood, Mimosa bark has been recognized for its grounding properties.

When combined, the result is a tincture that promotes a delicate calming balance within the body, akin to the feeling after a soothing massage or a healing yoga class. This is why we’ve named this tincture Calm Balance.

We call this tincture Calm Balance, because some may use Mimosa Flower and Bark for:

  • Calming Effects: Helps to soothe nerves and reduce feelings of tension.
  • Mood Balancing: Supports emotional balance, promoting a sense of stability.
  • Nervous System Support: Assists in balancing the nervous system.
  • Stress Relief: Offers a natural remedy to alleviate stress and promote a sense of well-being.
  • Mind-Body Harmony: Supports overall emotional and mental equilibrium.
  • Potential Sedative Properties: Induces relaxation without causing excessive drowsiness or sedation. For a tincture that promotes a restful night’s sleep, see our Sleep Tight tincture, Calm the F*ck Down tea, and other remedies.

HOW THE GLAM GARDENER USES HER CALM BALANCE TINCTURE

On a day where my mind is scattered due to an overwhelm of duties or a change in my hormonal cycle. I may notice my mood is easily perturbed by the quirks of daily life: too many annoyances and not enough time to decompress. It’s mid-day, so I don’t want to feel tired, because I still have things to do, but I need some ease. I take 3 dropperfulls of Calm Balance either by mouth on its own or by mixing in a cup of calming tea.

GLAM GARDENER NYC HERBAL PROMISE

The Glam fam ♡'s Glam Gardener's Calm Balance tincture because:

Our love for the ecosystem

Glam Gardener handcrafts small-batch herbal remedies with wild, organic, and regionally sourced plants. We source this Mimosa ourselves to ensure the highest quality and the kindest treatment of our environment.

Although Mimosa is beloved and medicinal, it is considered an invasive plant in our home region. Often, invasive plants are destructive to our native ecosystem. As a result, they are often ripped out of the ground, thrown in landfills, or sprayed with harmful herbicides.

However, at Glam Gardener NYC we believe in learning the value of these invasive plants and working with them to craft herbal products that are eco and health-conscious. By using invasive plants to craft herbal remedies, we hope to lend the native ecosystem a hand by removing them from the landscape, while doing our bodies a favor by consuming them as medicinal herbal remedies.

Small batches crafted with intention and integrity

Why choose Glam Gardener products when you can find similar herbal remedies sold in small herb shops and by large distributors like Amazon? We craft small-batch herbal remedies with high-quality local, organic, and wild-harvested plants.

Most of the remedies sold by large corporations are not crafted with the same intention, are not grown in the USA, and are not grown in their natural environment, which diminishes their quality.

Not always, but it is common for medicinal plants grown internationally to be grown using poor environmental and labor practices that are harmful to the earth and the most vulnerable humans across the globe. Ingesting non-organic and non-wild harvested plants can result in harm to our bodies. That’s why we always use organic and wild-harvested ingredients in our herbal products.

Whether we’re crafting a remedy with native mushrooms or invasive plants, we’re doing so consciously by using years of field-based best practices and traditional education.
