This herbal tincture is crafted with a plant that grows all around us, but many don't know yet: wild lettuce. Quite frankly, we're not sure why wild lettuce isn't one of the most discussed herbal remedies, because it is so wonderful and effective.

Wild lettuce is historically known as opium lettuce because of its pain-relieving properties. However, there are no opiates in this plant. This plant is known for its sedative-like effects that promote a calm nervous system and act as an ally for anxiety, tension, stress, joint and muscle pain, inflammation, menstrual cramps, and insomnia.

Perhaps, folks haven't felt the effects of wild lettuce, because the magical active ingredient in this plant is contained in its white resin. This white resin emerges from its stalk and leaves when cut. We know, because we harvest this plant fresh for you. Tincturing this plant properly is key to capturing the qualities of this resin.

If we had a dollar for every time someone approached us at a market or sent us a message exclaiming their love for this tincture... well, we'd have at least enough dollars to purchase you this tincture.

We call this tincture Pain Support, because some may use wild lettuce for:

  • Pain Support: Joint pain, muscle aches, or headaches are common ailments for folks that keep their Pain Support tincture nearby.
  • Calming Effects: Wild lettuce is a mild sedative, as it helps to promote calming sensations.
  • Sleepless nights: Many have reported to us that their wild lettuce tincture has finally helped them achieve a restful night's sleep.
  • Menstrual cycle support: Wild lettuce helps to calm the pain associated with cramping during your menstrual cycle. That's why we infuse wild lettuce into our Relax & Enjoy Your Period tea.
  • For topical pain support, see our Pain Relief scented salve with arnica, comfrey, CBD, peppermint oil, and local beeswax.

  • The wild lettuce tincture is AMAZING! Sh*t you not, I was ready to tell you by day 2 after I had the best sleep I'd had in a while, but I told myself to give it at least a week to get into my routine. It's a staple at night, especially when my arthritis (lower back) starts to flare up. Also, your guide on how to use tinctures was super helpful too!

GLAM GARDENER NYC HERBAL PROMISE

The Glam fam ♡'s Glam Gardener's Pain Support tincture because:

Our love for the ecosystem

Glam Gardener handcrafts small-batch herbal remedies with wild, organic, and regionally sourced plants. We source this wild lettuce ourselves to ensure the highest quality plants are used to create this herbal tincture.

Wild lettuce grows like a weed in the grasslands of New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.

Is it possible that weeds are just plants whose powers haven't been recognized yet?

You would be surprised how many weeds are ripped out of the ground, thrown in landfills, or sprayed with harmful herbicides, when they are incredibly medicinal.

We use traditional knowledge and years of field-based best practices to ensure that our wild lettuce is harvested during peak season on pristine land.

At Glam Gardener NYC we believe in learning the value of these plants and working with them to craft herbal products that are eco and health-conscious.

Small batches crafted with intention and integrity

Why choose Glam Gardener products when you can find similar herbal remedies sold in small herb shops and by large distributors like Amazon? We craft small-batch herbal remedies with high-quality local, organic, and wild-harvested plants.

Most of the remedies sold by large corporations are not crafted with the same intention, are not grown in the USA, and are not grown in their natural environment, which diminishes their quality.

Not always, but it is common for medicinal plants grown internationally to be grown using poor environmental and labor practices that are harmful to the earth and the most vulnerable humans across the globe. Ingesting non-organic and non-wild harvested plants can result in harm to our bodies. That’s why we always use organic and wild-harvested ingredients in our herbal products.

Whether we’re crafting a remedy with native mushrooms or invasive plants, we’re doing so consciously by using years of field-based best practices and traditional education.

Many of wild lettuce's (Lactuca virosa) health benefits are well documented in many herbal books, both old and new, and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Furthermore, these statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. When in doubt consult your healthcare provider or a clinically trained herbalist.
